what about sound effects. for example. a gun shot, or a anything that i can't realistically get myself. anyone know about that?

i heard somewhere that if a sample is less than 7 seconds long, you don't have to pay royalties to use it. although you probably have to have rights to use it (not shure).
for sound effects, would anyone be able to recognise it? i've been roping sound effects for my films for months, and no body has recognised where there from.
i plan on saying i "synthersised" them on my computer if anyone finds out [img]biggrin.gif[/img]
